I'm sure this has been asked a 100 times around here, so I apologize for this in advance. I tried the search function, but all the info I found related to mounts.

So here is my quick question, is it OK to use a crush washer when mounting a blackout fh? I know it doesn't need to be timed, just want to know if it's OK to avoid using rocksett so it could be removed easier at a later date.

Thanks guys!

If you intend to mount a silencer on that flashhider, then no. Crush washers can crush unevenly, which will lead to baffle strikes.

If you're talking about the non-mount version of the Blackout, then I guess go ahead? I'd wait for someone from AAC to verify that though.

Definitely not for a suppressor mount. FH only.

Why risk your can? If I were you, i would mount it up no washers and use just one drop of Rocksett. I've removed many mounts that had rocksett and as long as you don't go crazy with the application, you should be fine.

Hey Jason, its actually a non-mount blackout, so there is no can to risk. I asked this question on behalf of someone on another board. He is just leery of using rocksett, due to too many horor stories I suppose.

So, is there any reason not to use a crush washer on the blackout non-mount flash hider?
