I sent my paper work off in late Oct(like the 19th) Called the ATF and they say it has been assigned so how much longer do you think it will take. One more question since this is my second one is it faster than the first?

Just for fun how long did it take for the fastest paper work and the slowest paperwork returned?

Who is your examiner? During the time period that I sent mine in, the times varied from 30 days to 4 months.

I had Ms Payne on a trust and it took about 4 months exactly from when I sent the paperwork to when it was approved.

My first, and slowest, took over a year if I recall correctly. But that was only because the dealer I was using got arrested. My fastest has been around 30 days.

wow 30 days that is fast(for them)

not sure who my examiner is. Seems like the second one should be faster than the first one.

My last two transfers were sent in September 20 and were in my hand five weeks later exactly. My examiner is a well known SLOW examiner who will go nameless. Needless I was very happy.

I called last week to check on a Form 4 pending since 9-9-10. Anton said their "goal was to have Form 4s from pending to approved in 4 months."

I have talked to that Anto dude a few times. He is actually nice and helpful. What is his position there?

Also does the second ATF transfer stamp go faster than the first one?

Just got one in the mail today for a customer. Three and a half from mailbox to mailbox. Barbara Payne handles our form 4s.

Second 'Transfer' Is No Different Than The First,
Some Examiners Are Just Faster Than Others !

My Fastest Form 3 Was 3 Weeks
Slowest Form 3 Was 15 Months

Form 3 is dealer transfer, right? I am currently waiting on transfer from SAS to my dealer here in Vegas. Currently waited 4 weeks. I'll be raving mad if I have to wait another 14 months just to resubmit for form 4.
