Anyone know if that is like the GSG1911? Can you add an adaptor for a suppressor?

Made by Umarex, I wouldn't buy it. But thats just me, shotty quality and inconsistent products.

Gotcha. I already have a GSG1911 and while it wont last forever its a cheap and quiet host. I guess I pick up one of the new walther P22Q's....I dont care for the ruger hosts...

I checked one out a gun store the other day, and the barrel was threaded. It looked to be similar to a P22 barrel(I've never seen a GSG 1911 so I couldn't compare)in that you would need a thread adapter to use a can. The ppl at the store were unable to tell me if the P22 adapter would work on it or not. It looked and felt like a pretty nice host. I'm really considering selling my P22 and getting the Colt to use wth my Kodiak TL. I'm just curious if a GSG 1911 would be better or not...

I *think* that for all practical purposes they are basically the same, except for cost.

Id go for the gsg.... its a proven suppressor host and damn quiet! It runs 100% with the can on it. Im picking up a P22q Monday!

I know everyone gives umarex crap about quality but I received the m4 ops rifle for christmas a few years ago and it has had zero problems since. It does hate remington ammo but anything else it shoots just fine and is accurate with a red dot on top. Also functions flawlessly with my sparrow attached. Most things you read on the interwebz are bad but I have a positive review of one for once.

Over on the 1911 forums, the people that have picked up the umarex versions really like them and havent listed any problems yet. Like others have said, bout the only difference between them and the gsg is price it seems...and fixed barrel I believe. p22 tread adapter works on them. Mags are hard to find
