Can't..... Nah.... Won't really look at anything I see from a silencer mfg on what ammo works well or whatever. Back when you were an independent reviewer maybe, but not now.

Also, nice domain I guess. Snatch that up before someone makes a non-for-profit site about silencers being legal.

Thanks John... Validates what I have said all along. What is very interesting is the 1070 fps claimed FPS is exactly what the CZ got. but in the shorter barrels the Gemtech ammo had higher velocity. I get the CCI std ammo for less than your price when getting a case at a time making it even better.

The consistency was understandable the added 2 gr may make the FPS ES less.

What was FUNNY was the CCI Std is 1-2 dB QUIETER! Another reason to get it LOL.

Speed of sound is related to temperature, not altitude.

That ammo appears to be a waste of money unless there aren't any other subsonic, accurate rounds for your particular gun. Any plans to test various target ammunition against the Gemtech .22lr ammo? :)

Ammo doesn't seem worth the cost.

And i like how you drop in that the xcaliber is "proven to be the most effective 22 can...." stuff without mentioning that you make it.

I might have been interested if the the ammo was 48 or 50 grain. 2 extra just isnt enough to worry about.

Lapua Scoremax was 48 but was canceled 5 or more years ago.

Now if Gemtech had made it a 48 HP, just a little bit more than CCI SV I would buy thousands of it.

Gemtech fails, as usual.

One thing my brain can not compute is how can a can have 40 decible reduction on a pistol and only have like twenty three db reduction on a rifle.

Would someone Please explain this phenominon :? to me!

Pistols (in this case) are louder due to the shorter barrel and identical cartridge. Less powder burns inside the barrel, meaning there's a bigger muzzle blast. :)

another factor

A pistol has higher MP than the rifle. Some baffle designs are better at high pressure than low.
