Hello there, I am new to the forum but I have been following this and other discussions since my first 22 can purchase back in January.

I went through the same exercise..Kodiak vs SS Sparrow vs Spectre etc...

I have a friend with the SS Sparrow, and it is a great can, but after a lot of research I went with the Kodiak TL. However, I think you can't go wrong with either.

Some people on the forum have commented that they don't like the styling of the can. I actually saw my TL for the first time two weeks ago (now I am waiting for the Form 4 to get approved), and the pictures on Liberty's site do not do it justice. The matte gray and black look different than in the pictures, and they are sweeeet!

Also, the TL is technically a smaller can than the Sparrow. Do the math... Sparrow = 1.062in dia, 5.08in long vs. Kodiak TL = 0.92in dia, 6.5in long (and the 0.92in dia was by design I am told, it matches the dia of the bull barrel on the Ruger Mk II!) Sparrow is 4% larger by volume.

Just my 2 cents! Can't wait to actually have the TL in my hands!

On the Liberty site it states the TL and Essence are 1" In a picture of a 22/45 pistol the tube is larger than the barrel. I thought the Shoofly was the smaller dia.

Maybe Chondro can verify the tube dia.

Oh...maybe I'm mistaken. I don't have the can yet, so I can't put a caliper on it. That came directly from Stu at Liberty.

So I guess the Kodiak would be slightly larger in volume at 1" dia...

Yep all the tubes are 1 inch exactly..The Shoofly was .920 to match the profile of a 10/22 barrel but it is no more..I was just talking to one of the guys at Liberty and the Sparrow is no more either..
