Ok I got an AAC OMNI supperssor 2 months ago. It mounts on a standard AR15 A2 type flash supressor. On one of my AR15's it clamps on tight. But I finally got my Robinson Arms XCR SBR. I attempt to clamp the supressor on the XCR and it will not clamp on all the way, there is this large gap between the can and the clamp.



Is this safe to shoot with this big of gap between the clamp and the supressor or do I need to change out the split washer? How do I fit this washer? The instructions on the supressor say there should not be a gap between the clamp and the can. What do you guys think?

Split washer should be replaced with a peel washer. You can get misalignment and a baffle strike with a split washer. This should have been in the manual.

Dont shoot it that way.

the flash hider may be a little out of spec. I have the same can, on one flash hider it tried it was really hard to get it to line up correctly. works great on the others i tried it on,

I refit the flash suppressor with the peal washer that came with the can. I was able to get a much tighter fit. Thanks.
