hey, does anybody have, and willing to share a quality design that works well that could be machine on a CNC machine? Or does anybody have really good mechanical drawings that they would be willing to share. I am looking at designs for an .223 M-4. Any help would be great.

Thanks Guys

Hi,

Try at Google SketchUp 3D Warehouse. Sear for "Suppressor" or "Silencer". It's plenty of them.

There are also may 3D Content sites like www.3dcontentcentral.com.

Best and good luck,

Paul

Ha,

I think he's looking for something that includes internals like baffles, not just a cylinder.

Hi,

Ah !, Ok, sorry. I did not read the post correctly.

I don't think there are such type of files available. What you can do is start looking for free 2D Plans (easy and plenty of them), enter into a 3D CAD (like SolidWorks or Inventor) and then export the solids to something like MasterCam, program the cuts, drills and turns and, finally, generate G-Code.

It's not easy.

Best,

Paul

I'll share. No idea if mine works or not yet, but hey. I know it's at least made with consideration to actual production.
